Yiakl Symposium UK draws over 800 delegates

Drawing delegates from across Britain and from further afield, Saturday’s symposium was a display of unity and diversity. Eritreans came together to say ‘Enough!’ to the dictatorship and explore how to move forward. It was a sign of strength and optimism across the diaspora.
After a long period of clustered preparation in many US cities, the Eritreans activists’ campaign culminated in a large meeting in Washington DC between May 23 until May 25. The Eritrean movement was initially inspired by the Arab Spring in 2012.
