The 28th year of the liberation of Eritrea
The Eritrean Community for Justice (ECJ) Washington DC Metropolitan is pleased to host a “two day” event to commemorate the 28th year of the liberation of Eritrea. This historical event is being organized by various Eritrean communities and groups throughout North America, and is occurring at a particular time when the very existence of our young nation for which hundreds of thousands have paid the ultimate price is in question. It is high time that we leave our differences aside and flock to Washington DC to make our voices heard loud and clear, and stand up to say enough is enough.
The first event will be a rally on Friday May 24th at multiple locations in Washington DC including the Eritrean Embassy. On the second day, there will be a whole day symposium followed by music concert in the evening at a venue that would be disclosed in the near future.
So far, communities from the following cities have sent their representatives to the North America nationwide organizing committee that is responsible for organizing the event .
|Philadelphia||New York||San Diego|
The Eritrean Community for Justice (ECJ) Washington DC Metropolitan welcomes all Eritreans who would like to help make this program a success. Please call us or email at the above listed contact information to send us your contact information if you would like to be part of the preparatory activities.
